ACTING FOR FILM

This part-time Acting for Screen workshop is designed for those who wish to develop their performance skills for the medium of film. Gain confidence in front of the camera and build all the skills you need to launch your acting career. These classes will give participants the opportunities to take part in a number of acting exercises using several methods, they will learn the core techniques necessary to create a believable performance on screen, including improvisation and subtext in acting. This course is suitable for beginners, no previous experience is required.

LEARNING GOALS
Throughout these sessions students should be able to:
- Analyze a script to get the best from their performance;
- Apply the technical skills relevant to film acting;
- Practice techniques that will help them achieve an authentic screen performance;
- Project confidence whilst in front of the camera;
- Understand the On Set practices and the relationship of the actor to the crew;

About the instructor - Randa Kaady
Randa Kaady is a celebrated Lebanese actress with over 30 years of experience in theater and television. She honed her craft studying theater at the Lebanese University, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the Lebanese and regional drama scene. One of the milestone projects in her career was her role in "Ahla byout ras Beirut," where she received particular acclaim for her performance. Throughout her career, Randa Kaady has portrayed a diverse range of roles, showcasing her versatility and skill as an actress. Her ability to bring authenticity, warmth, and depth to her characters has earned her critical acclaim and a devoted fan base. Recognized with several Murex d'Or prizes, Randa Kaady's contributions to the Lebanese entertainment scene highlight her significant impact on both the theater and television landscapes in Lebanon and beyond. Notably, her performances in acclaimed productions such as "Nazret Hob," "Lal Mot," and "2020" have garnered widespread praise and recognition. In addition to her professional achievements, Randa Kaady is admired for her commitment to mentoring young actors and her active role in the arts community. She often participates in workshops and theater projects, sharing her experience and expertise with aspiring performers.
